Radon in Water Test kit with Analysis

If your water is from a well and your radon in air test is elevated you may want to test for radon on the well water before you mitigate the house. Radon in water becomes radon in air. I will supply you with the sampling bottle and instructions. You get us the bottle and I will analyze it and provide you with a report. This test cost only $25.00.
Learn more about wells at www.wellcarehotline.org  If you have municipality provided water you should read your water report. Understand that is what is delivered and may not be what is coming out of the faucet. Pipe scale can be a contaminant. If the house is vacant this can get missed if only an air test is done. think about it - no one is running water if its vacant!

Radon Professionals $15.00 each
an order of 10 costs total $160.00 that includes priority shipping. You can pay on the main page or call with a credit card or mail a check ahead of time.
Testers - Don't forget to conduct blanks, spikes and dups for RE tests. I count 1 of each batch of 10 as a blank out the door.
Mitigators - great for diagnostic or post mitigation test provide them to the occupant or homeowner to conduct a post mitigation test.  Also great for Energy Auditors, Department of Health, Large Building Superintendents, Schools and Daycares.

Buy devices as you need them.  If you are a radon pro and need help with your QA tasks check out our QA Program Assistance and Audits page. We are here to help! Also check out our radon training page.

If any data on the form is missing the device cannot get analyzed. I should not have to figure out what the zip code is or call you to ask for dates/times etc. I will though. These devices come with instructions, a data collection sheet and a closed house agreement form that is used for real estate transaction tests. real estate transaction tests shall be under closed house conditions so the buyer gets a worse case scenario picture of possible radon gas concentrations in the area where it likely to enter the building. As a Health Physicist and environment envelope guru I am telling you that you should be testing at a minimum the lowest level and 1st floor.
The devices cannot be deployed for more than 7 days and needs to be deployed for a minimum of 48 hours. The house has to be closed up 12 hours before deploying them and for the duration of the test. You can come and go -  you do not have to leave to go to a hotel or some where else just live normally with doors and windows closed except for normal entry and exit. If you bias the test in any way it is not my fault that the results will not be valid. It will be accurate but only to the conditions that were in place at the time of the test. So if you test with a window open thats what happens, if you run the bathroom fan constantly it is what it is. Place it on a pool table, stone surface or floor it can get biased.
The devices need to returned to this lab (122 W. 5th Ave, Derry, PA  15627) by the 8th day after they are closed or turned off. They cannot be analyzed after the 8th day. Do not do the test and wait a month to mail it; makes no sense. Also do not begin the test if you cannot keep the house closed otherwise you are wasting time and money if for a real estate test.  I will not change the address on a report unless it is my typo. why would you ask that anyway - sounds shady to me. If the address is incorrect another test will need to be done. I cannot help it if the home inspector or radon tester does not know where they are.
You will have to pay to get devices back to this lab. You can drop off locally or I can pick up if needed.  I can provide return packaging if you ask. Most folks use a small flat rate priority box from USPS - it comes with free tracking and is strong tight. any box, cushy envelope can be used. A manila envelope alone does not work -its physics thing - they rip open as the can slides around.
I make every effort to analyze devices the day they are received. I am often in the lab on Saturday so if I get your test kit Saturday I will analyze them at some point over the weekend. Once received the devices will sit for a minimum of 3 hours to acclimate to lab temperature. There may be a delay if I am conducting QA/QC tests on my equipment.  A written report will be provided by mail unless an email or fax is provided. reports will get mailed to the address of the building that was tested unless otherwise notified. I am also obligated to notify the state of all test results. The results are used to populate databases and develop maps of known radon gas areas. Most of the time these do not get delivered and are thrown away by the postal service because the building is vacant or the person does not live there yet so its best to provide email or fax.
Thank you for your business. Again please call if you have any questions, concerns or doubts. These devices are very accurate and precise if stored and placed properly and building conditions are maintained.
